Fraser at Sea, onboard Carnival Horizon in Cozumel, Mexico

Ok, who am I? Let me introduce myself!

I’m Fraser, and I’m a 32 year old from the UK. I was born in Scotland, but now a few hours South in England, close to the city of Birmingham in the Midlands (in short, the middle of the country!).

Growing up, we never did cruise as a family. My sisters (I have two) and I were really well travelled as kids, but our holidays would always be land-based. We travelled to quite a few different countries within Europe, and we also made the long-haul journey to Florida a few times. Little did I know that, as we were ‘visiting the Mouse’ in the sunshine state (if you know, you know), the cruise ships were only a short drive away, and probably loading up with passengers to go and enjoy their (very different to mine) vacations. Believe it or not, going on a cruise was, until a few years ago, a bit of an ‘alien concept’ for me - I just knew for years that I REALLY wanted to try one! Before I took my first cruise, I had no idea how it all worked, and didn’t even know if I’d be welcome in this whole market due to being a lot younger than who I perceived the ‘typical cruiser’ to be…

I took the plunge and boarded my first ever cruise ship back in 2018 while visiting a friend who had emigrated to Florida after we left University - what did I have to lose? This ship was Norwegian Escape, one of the ships from Norwegian Cruise Line. I boarded in Miami, for a trip that was going to, in ways I couldn’t even understand, change my life and my whole perception of travel.

Immediately after boarding the ship, I knew that I had found my true passion. I am a true advocate of the cruise industry, and I genuinely believe there’s a cruise product and itinerary out there to suit absolutely every person. However, I also believe that passengers really need to research before booking their cruise to ensure they’ve chosen the correct ship and route, because not every product will suit everyone - this is where I’m hoping I can come in to help!

I first started my Instagram a few years ago, and then later launched into the world of YouTube (this came later as I could operate ‘anonymously on Instagram - I was absolutely terrified of putting ‘me’ on any social media channels). I then started my YouTube channel, and secured my first three subscribers on January 10th, 2021. Fast forward to now, and I’ve got over 35,000 of you following along on my various social platforms, and I’m so grateful for each and every one of you for being here!

Anyway, that’s enough of an intro for now - if you’d like to make contact, you can do so via the ‘Contact Me’ page of the site, or message me on any of my social channels - thanks so much!
